Global Media Firm
Providing data management consulting services to a leading US based media company. The company required visibility across the majority of its disparate ERP systems and data warehouses.
The integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) allows our clients to seamlessly integrate ERP and legacy data repositories into 3rd party application including all BI platforms.
Availability of trusted data is one of the key issues all companies face on a day-to-day basis.
This is a real challenge due to data often being stored in disparate silos which by design or by accidents of history are often difficult to access and integrate.
The iPaaS offers clients the ability to extract data from large numbers of disparate data sources and integrate this information into a centralised repository. This can be done at scale and at pace.
Our application sits on the Microsoft Azure platform incorporating the latest security standards and technologies ensuring seamless extraction, transfer and hosting of client data. We are continually evaluating the latest offerings from the Azure platform including advances in security, data management, artificial intelligence and performance.
The first step is to connect to the data sources. This process is facilitated using easy-to-follow screens allowing the user to test and validate the state of the connections.
In this SAP example the user is asked to select or add the tables that include the required data for analysis. Our experienced team can support the targeting of data and tables.
Once the tables have been selected the user is asked to select the relevant fields from these tables. Certain fields will relate to the period concerned, these date fields can also be specified here.
Without getting too technical, certain ‘value’ filters will be applied to ensure only the relevant data is extracted. Certain tables will ‘join’ other tables, this relationship is specified here.
The scheduling of the extractions is an important step and can become complicated. We have provided a series of options which the user may select to ensure the timely and complete extraction of data.
